Developing Public Policy for Future Management of the Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer (ESPA)

The Idaho Legislature has authorized the Idaho Water Resource Board to develop the framework for a comprehensive management plan of the Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer.  The framework plan will be presented to the Legislature in 2007.

The second phase, depending on guidance from the Legislature, will be for the Board to develop a comprehensive aquifer management plan in the public interest.

Public input will be vital.  The Board hired CDR Associates to facilitate the development of a framework plan including information exchange with stakeholders and the public.
